Girls Weekend!

We got to Burley Friday night and enjoyed a weekend of girls! I loved spending time with my sisters (and Brenda) and Maddie loved playing with her girl cousins. The little girls enjoyed a fairy tea party, lots of fun on the tramp and in the trees, and making some really cute flip flops.
Us older girls enjoyed late nights laughing and playing games and we even snuck away kid free for a lunch with mom.
Also on this trip I was able to see my friends Alisha and Giselle!
Grandma Jann and Grandpa Boyd were nice enough to keep Garen for the weekend.
On Monday we attended Abby's birthday party in Syracuse and then made it back home after 3 hours of Sophie screaming!
I am in real need of a vacation from my vacation!

Another (windy)Summer day

This morning I took the Girl Scouts on a one mile hike followed by a game of kickball. Garen and Sophie got to play at Milan's house.

Aren't they a cute group of girls-

Right after that Maddie headed to 4-H camp, where she's been having fun all week. I pulled her and friend Abby out of camp a bit early so we could all go swimming.

I got lots of glares from parents as I held Garen in the water while he screamed for 10 minutes, but no worries, once he realized it wasn't scary he had a wonderful time! I was tired of this water phobia he has acquired this Summer and I finally forced him in so he could realize that it's fun. I did have to threaten him that I would put his face in the water if he didn't stop crying and if he kept running away-I know, such a sweet mommy I am-but it worked!

Family Home Evening

We learned that we are all brothers and sisters and children of our Heavenly father.

Garen drew sad faces on his connected brothers, when I asked him why he drew them sad he said, "because their arms are stuck together."

Eight Years!

(2002, the Summer we got married)

Eight years have come and gone and I love Andy more than ever. I still feel like we learn more about each other everyday and continue to help each other grow. I am so happy with my life and our family, I couldn't have planned the last 8 years out better myself. Every trial and every triumph has brought us to a greater love and a greater understanding of our purpose in life!

Preparing for out garage sale took most of our evening but we did take a break and play at Veteran's park. The kids had a blast playing at the playground, climbing the army tank, and exploring the huge rocks.

I took the Girl Scouts to the Museum here. They got to go on a scavenger hunt while learning about Rock Springs history. I learned a ton about this very interesting town, hopefully the girls did to?

4th of July

We enjoyed a lovely day at church. Later a huge barbecue with lots of great friends. Andy even got to come join us when he got off work. A bit later we enjoyed tons of fireworks and sparklers with more friends. It was a pretty good Independence day!

Movie Night

Wednesday night I got to go see the new Twilight movie with friends. It was a fun night and the movie is my favorite one so far! You've just got to embrace all the drama and hype that is Twilight. :)
