We had a lovely Easter! The kids found their Easter baskets waiting for them when they woke up. They didn't have much time to look through them before we had to get going to 9am church. Church was lovely and uplifting as always. Such a good reminder of Christ's sacrifice and love for us.

Dyeing eggs and an egg hunt
Garen and Maddie's city ice show
Grandma Jann, Amber, Levi and Zack all came Friday and got to come see Maddie and Garen skate in the city lesson ice show. Garen said he wanted to do the show but when it came time for the practices he was very unsure and wanted to back out. Even though I bribed him a bit with Star Wars Characters, I was really proud that he went out and did it even though it made him feel super anxious to have all those people watching him. They both did fabulous!!!

Grandpa Roger
Andy's Grandpa Roger passed away last night at the young age of 77. Although I did not grow up with him being my grandfather I will forever be grateful for the life lessons he has taught Andy as a child and young adult. He taught him how to work with his hands and how to work hard, taught him to hunt, taught him how to give and gain respect, and he encouraged him to go on a mission.
My kids loved visiting them in Bear Lake. Grandpa Roger would get out the four-wheelers and stand to the side and smile while he watched us take our kids for rides. He would drive us around in his truck and tell us stories of his younger years and the deep history that came with every different destination. He would hook up the horse swing everytime and push my kids on it.
What a wonderful man he was and what an amazing life he led. We are sad his time was cut short but know he is continuing his great work on the other side.

Girls Weekend!
On Friday I headed to Salt Lake, by myself for the weekend. No kids! I believe this is the first time in 9 years I got to have 3 days to myself. I didn't waste anytime, I hit Target, Old Navy, Zurchers, and the teacher store right as I got into town. When my sister and mom arrived the 4 of us headed to the movie, Mirror Mirror.
Sadly on Saturday Sara was sick! But I used my morning to go get my hair cut. Then we had to leave Sara behind and Mandy, me and my mom went to lunch at the Brick Oven. Next we headed downtown to fulfill my mom's birthday wish-to see the midgets at the Little Chocolatiers factory. We did in fact meet the midget and have some tasty ice cream and chocolates. We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Olive Garden than my sisters and I headed back to the movies to see This Means War.
Sunday we watched Conference of course! That evening I got to go spend a few hours with my friend Brenda, which was great!
Monday it was time to go back to my real life (which is okay-I missed the kids). I hit a few more stores before taking the windy road back to Wyoming.

I don't recall what is funny or why we are looking at Sara that way but this picture makes me laugh-

White Mountain this morning
Sometimes I see something that just makes me smile or think how beautiful. Most the time it's a quick glance or thought and then is shoved away never to be thought of again. I want to make more of an effort to write down, take a mental not, or take a picture of those small moments that show me Heavenly Father is there and feel my heart with joy even if only for a moment.
I was stuck inside all day yesterday and all day today because Sophie is sick and then Garen got a fever today! So when I dragged the garbage can to the road (the only time I was outside), I caught a glimpse of the mountains by my house. The sky was super blue and clear and the only clouds were hovering on top of the mountain. For that moment I thought, how neat, then the next moment was filled with get your shoes on!, do you have your lunch!, you're going to be late, and a relapse of morning sickness. I'm glad my camera was on the counter and I snapped a picture of my heart warming moment this morning.
