New Boots

With the beautiful weather we've had lately, it seems boots should be far from my thoughts. But I know better, Wyoming winter can hit at any minute and now we are ready for cold weather and warm toes-

Girl Scouts

Last night the Girl Scouts made candles for the giant Christmas tree that will be cut from Wyoming and brought to Washington D.C. as the capital Christmas tree.

Also, last night the girls got to make masks, they had a lot of fun minus the glue gun burns and the masks turned out cute (okay, I know they are creepy)- Maddie's in the black jacket on the bottom row-

Gymnastics

Maddie started gymnastics about 3 weeks ago and is loving it!

Preschool-Garen

Garen is loving both of his preschools. He has a blast with all the boys in my preschool and he has finally warmed up to the CDC preschool. He even ate snack and participated in show and tell this week for the first time. He is extremely smart at gets every letter, shape, number, color, counting, rhyming, etc. correct everytime. We will just continue to work on the anxiety in new situations and the social skills.

22 Months

I saw this super cute picture I took of Sophie and was about to post it and I remembered today is the 15th. Which makes Sophie exactly 22 months old today.

She is such a funny little person. She adores her sister and wants to do everything she is doing. She copies every word out of our mouths all day long and is always making us laugh.

Wonderful Weekend

My weekend was really relaxing for once! Friday there was no preschool and no school for Maddie because of Parent/Teacher confrences. I went to Maddie's bright and early at 8:30AM. Her teacher only had the nicest things to say. She is in the highest reading and math group, she's way above the average scores on her testing, and she's not even being distrupting with her talking and laughing. We are so proud of her.
Straight from the confrence I went to the gym where Cammie kicked my butt and I can finally walk normal again today. From there a enjoyed a long lunch and chatting with my friend Kara. And to make it even better, Andy had totally cleaned the house while I was gone.
And beleive it or not it keeps going. Maddie and I spent a couple of hours at the mall shopping, followed by all of us going swimming at the new indoor pool/splash park/lazy river/water slide/rock climbing wall. The kids had a blast!

Saturday turned out to be pretty awesome as well, I think it's due to Andy being home on the weekends. We went to Maddie's soccer game (it was cold!) and she played like a champ. She scored a goal in the last minute of the game. We all went out to celebrate at Applebees for lunch. At 9pm a bunch of us girls went out for ice cream followed by a late movie.

Sunday at church I spotted Garen doing the actions to the songs (which he never does at church) and then he actually got out of his chair and participated during Sunbeam class (also something he has never done before). It was a good Day.
I payed for my weekend fun late Sunday night as I vacuumed and cleaned and cut and laminated and set up for preschool, but it was worth it.

Humane Society

I took the Girl Scouts to the Humane Society this week. Sophie came with cuz she loves dogs and cats, Garen went to a friends house because he's never willingly touched a dog or cat in his life. Maddie's been wanting to do this for awhile, so this was all for her because if it was my choice I would have avoided the place all together. It smelled awful and my allergy to cats started up right after walking in the door.
It's a great thing they do there and I have nothing against animals, but I guess I take after my dad and am just not a pet lover. Walking through the rows of kennels and stepping in dog pee was not really my cup of tea. The girls loved playing with the cats in the cat room and kept asking me to come in. Since I could see the cat hair flying through the air, I kept my distance from that room. The people there were very passionate about what they do and went on to tell these cute little 7 and 8 year olds that if these animals go to animal control they kill them there within 3 days and that we are not good people because we don't take care of the animals on the street. I think the girls left a little bit scared from that info.

Safety day at Home Depot. They gave our Girl Scout troop a very nice grill to occasion off. We made almost $300 for our troop. Maddie enjoyed the police dog, building boats, free pizza, and many other fun activities-

Garen didn't like all the people, noise, and giant fire dog as much as the others-

Andy and I got to go out to eat kid free thanks to his parents, and we celebrated Andy's birthday coming up this Tuesday-
