The kids participated in a little track meet tonight. They got to pick 3 events to do. All of them did the standing long jump and the ball throw and Sophie ran a 25 meter race, Garen a 50 meter race and Maddie a 100 meter race.
Garen took first in the standing long jump with a jump of 5'5 and he looked like he wasn't even trying-he actually beat Maddie's jump of 5'1. Maddie got first in the throwing by a long way and Sophie took first in both long jump and throwing for the 3-4 division! And they all did well in their races. It was really fun to watch them compete and get excited about getting called up to get their ribbons. They were definitly tired after running in that heat and they had already had 3 hours of soccer camp, cooking class and Maddie swam at the rec for 2 hours!
