Tour of Albertsons

I took Maddie and her Girl Scout troop to Albertsons yesterday. It was actually a really fun tour. Maddie's favorite part was getting the free apple afterwards.

the only way I could get Sophie to stay put was to give her an apple of her own as well-

Maddie also got her ballet costume yesterday, so I had her try it on and just had to take a quick picture cuz she's so very cute!

Swimming Lessons

Maddie finished up swimming lessons today. She loved it and passed to the next level, but I think we will be taking a break for my sake. It's not easy taking the 3 kids across town on time, waking Sophie up from her nap everyday, and entertaining the little ones for the hour that Maddie swims!
Today was fun day, so guess what Maddie did...she convinced boys to push her around while she sat on the floating thing. Even though there are no pictures with other girls in them, she does have several in her swimming class. I guess she prefers the boys. Help!

I know she looks a little like a cancer patient with the swim cap on, but it was saving her very fine hair from the chlorine everyday.-

Fishing

We don't usually get pictures of Andy fishing because I don't usually go with him. On Tuesday he went fishing with a friend for the day and they even took a picture! I think Andy wanted to prove that he really does catch fish out there even though I never see them. ;)

Visit from my Sister

Sara, Abby, Colton, and Ryan came to visit us this week, Tuesday-Thursday. It was so fun having them here. Her kids are the same ages as mine so they had a wonderful time playing together. The girls were going on fairy hunts, the boys played with guns, cars, and outside, and the babies were learning to be soft with each other.
Sara and Abby helped me teach preschool and Abby got to come to Girl Scouts with us. We miss them already!

I love how Garen and Colton both closed their eyes-

Flashback Friday

Just for fun a picture of our wedding cake, July 12, 2002.

Westridge Elementry Carnival

I braved the carnival madness tonight by myself with all three kids. Luckily they were all really good and had lots of fun. It was a Western theme this year.
I bribed Sophie with suckers so she would stay in the stroller-

Rock Climbing

I took Maddie's Girl Scout troop rock climbing last night. It was a lot of fun. Maddie zipped right up to the top and continued running back and forth between the different walls getting as many climbs in as she could. I even got to climb when the girls were done-I must say it's harder than it looks.

All my girls-

Shoot'en hoops

I take Garen and Sophie into the gym to play basketball everyday while Maddie swims. Today I taught Garen how to run ladders and he thought it was great, he ran like 15 of them full court! And he can almost get the ball in the hoop. Sophie just likes to run around and throw the ball.

Sunday

Yesterday was a good Sunday. Andy was home and got to come to church with us. We were early for church, Garen went to primary with no crying, Andy too Sophie into nursery for a bit and she loved it, I got to spend time with my wonderful primary presidency.
After church Andy helped me clear out our basement for our upcoming garage sale, had a yummy crockpot dinner that took very little preparation, took a lovely walk along the Green River loop, played at the park, had family home evening followed by a root beer float. What a wonderful day!

Family Movie Night

The kids have started a new job chore system that is working wonderfully. It's on myjobchart.com. The kids get points for doing chores, being kind to each other, exercising, reading scriptures, doing homework, etc. Then they get to turn those points in for small things like TV time, Wii time, a treat or they can save for something bigger like a new toy, Movie night, a trip to McDonald's, etc. Last night Maddie turned in 250 points for a late night movie night. She was nice enough to let Garen join in even though he didn't have that many points. We watched Princess and the Frog and had treats. The kids were super excited for all four of us to sit down and watch the movie, we don't do that very often. And I was excited when I found these little cups of dip'n dots at Walmart. These were special treats when I was younger but you only found them at selling stands in the SLC mall or at Lagoon.

And this is what Sophie did while we had our movie night-
