Park Playing

Birthday Party Fun!

Last night my kids had a blast at Ariana's and Samantha's birthday party. Tons of candy, a waterslide, cupcakes, pinata, hot dogs, lots of friends, and popsicles. Can't get better than that!

Sophie

When Sophie saw Garen going to school she insisted she wear her new backpack too and that she pose for pictures like Garen was. I love how her backpack is like the same size as her!
Sophie did get to come down to my preschool's back to school night and decorate her show and tell bag. She is so excited to be part of my preschool this year.

Some projects I've done lately

This old hand-me-down table needed a brighter face lift, so I spent countless hours sanding painting and ployurathaning the table and chairs

After-
I hate the color of our entertainment center but haven't bothered with it cuz I figured we need to update our old school TV. But since the old TV works fine and we have better things to spend our money on I decided to paint it.

Then I finally did away with the ugly white front door and painted it a dark brown. Then I was happy to find this pretty wreath at Target!
I had more things on my project list but we spent most of our Summer days out having fun instead. Maybe next year I'll get them done.

Garen's First Day at the CDC

Garen was so excited to go back to school that he woke up at 6am, he came in my room all dressed and ready to go to school. I thought 8:30 school was going to be to early-apparently not. He was very excited to see his old teachers and some of his old friends.

Sleepy Sophie

Sophie was pretty cranky after a long Sunday. When I put her to bed I could hear her crying and coming after me. I went down to the preschool to clean and was expecting her to come down whining. I was pleased when she didn't. It wasn't till I came out later and noticed her asleep on the stairs. I guess she was after me but was to tired to make it pass the steps.

Smurfs

Boys trip

Andy took Garen Friday and Saturday on a little camping and fishing trip. They made tin foil dinners, smores, slept in the tent, and caught lots of fish! Garen was a pretty good photographer even though there was about 50 pictures of grass and his fingers.

being silly as usual-

Summer is coming to an End

School is just around the corner and I have a long list of things to do to prepare, but instead we are using up our last few Summer days with friends, parks, Summer movies, and lots of playing. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Summer even though Maddie has informed me that she is more than ready to head back to school.

Class of 2001 Reunited!

10 years ago we were a bunch of crazy teenagers doing crazy things

Now we've all added, husbands, kids, college, and jobs, but I think we still have a little crazy teenager left in us-

I copied this picture from facebook, hence all the words running through it-

We got into Burley Friday night and headed straight over to the fair to go to the rodeo. We had never taken the kids to a rodeo before. I think they enjoyed the bull riding and barrel races, etc.

Saturday morning my parents were so nice to watch our kids while Andy and I headed to the Twin Falls temple. It's been far to long since we have been and it was nice to be there with Andy!

In the afternoon we went to a fun park day for part of my reunion. There was a bouncy house, a train ride, horse rides and other fun things. The kids had a blast and I enjoyed being with my old friends!

Then Saturday evening my parents watched my kids again and Andy (grudgingly) and I went to my reunion dinner. It was a fun evening! We laughed together till midnight, my face seriously hurt! I was so lucky to have the group of friends that I did in High School. They were crazy, fun, would do anything for me, and we all held the same standards. I hope my kids can find as good as friends as I had/have!
