New Calling

I thought when the member of the bishopric came over, that Andy was for sure getting a calling. But nope, it was me.
I got called to be the secretary in the Primary Presidency. I'm excited! And I think this will work out much better than teaching Sunbeams because of Sophie. She is always crying during Primary time and that is hard to deal with on top on 6 Sunbeams. I will miss teching my sweet little 3 year olds but it's always exciting to start something new.

Also, today I am proud to say that I made it to 9AM church early by myself with all three kids. Andy had to work, but we even made it through Sacrament meeting without being to disruptive. And I did sharing time in Primary (While Nicole held crying Sophie).
I am very tired from no sleep and from getting 3 kids up and ready for church, but I am so glad I did. The testimonies today brought in the spirit and motivation I needed and pushed away my desire to go home and sleep.

First Solid Food

Sophie tried rice cereal tonight for the first time. I think she liked it. We'll have to keep practicing.

Field Trip to the Animal Hospital

I got to go with Maddie and her class to the animal hospital today. Thanks again Sarah for watching my kids so I could go!!!
Maddie loves animals so much so she really enjoyed it. They got to see some dogs washed and dried, see the animal hotel, see some animal x-rays, see the surgery room and much more.
Apparently it was pretty stinky in there-

Random Stuff

It's been about 10 months since Garen has taken a nap-and he has never fallen asleep anywhere but his bed. so this must have been one tired boy to fall asleep during dinner!

Silly boy-don't eat the fish from the fishing game-

We had a couple girls over to play and we headed to the park to enjoy the sunshine-
rolling down the hill-

And Andy finished the deck stairs!!! The weather finally cooperated. Just some sanding and staining left to do. Just in time to, the building inspector is coming in the morning to pass everything off for the preschool-

I left Sophie with Garen for a minute to get the phone and I came back and found that Garen had put the fishing pole in her hand so she could play with him. He was helping her catch a fish.

Pictures Taken by Alisha...

I think we got some good shots even though Garen didn't want his picture taken and Sophie was crying. Thanks a ton Alisha, you're the best!!! We'll have to come back for more pictures when I loose the baby weight!

Maddie's talk

Maddie had a talk in church today-we just found out last night, so when we got back from swimming Andy went in Maddie's room with her to help her with her talk. With Andy's guidance, Maddie wrote her own talk. She did such a great job in Primary. The usually very noisy primary was pretty quiet as they listened to Maddie's talk. I recorded her practicing it this morning before we left to church.-
I got a couple shots of the kids right after church, while they were sitll dressed nice and looking clean-

New Bikes

We got the kids new bikes yesterday. We got them as early birthday presents-we didn't want them to have to miss out riding bikes for the next month and a half. Maddie's bike is just way to small for her and Garen has been riding Maddie's pink and purple 3 wheeler.
Andy took Garen earlier in the day to pick out his bike-he picked Spiderman. Then we took Maddie after school; she found a bike in her favorite color blue.

When we got home we let the kids try them out. Garen hasn't got the pedaling down yet, but he'll get it.
And we pulled Maddie's training wheels off first thing and she was off. She is so crazy! She just started riding around almost running into things and when she stopped she realized she could no longer put her feet on the ground like she could with her old bike. So we had a couple crashes. But that didn't stop her, she would hop back on and keep riding.
She only stopped riding after she crashed into the side of a truck and fell in a huge puddle of mud. She was fine-I tried to take a picture of her covered in mud, but she ran away and didn't want anyone to see a picture of her muddy back side.

April Snow

At the beginning of the week we were playing outside without jackets, and yesterday we pulled out the snow pants. I guess all we can do is embrace what comes and make the best of it by building a snowman in April.

4 Months Old

Sophie is four months and growing like a weed. She can now grab her toys and shove them in her mouth. She loves watching her crazy siblings run around and is little miss smiles.
Weight: 13.2lbs
Height: 23.75inches
Head: 16
Her percentiles dropped on everything. Her weight went from the 75% to the 35% but she is very healthy, I think she is just falling into her natural curve and all my kids are in the lower percentiles. Maddie's always been below 10%.

Easter

I love this message about the true meaning of Easter. I can't even comprehend what Christ went through, but I am truly grateful for his sacrifice; so that one day, despite all my mistakes I can become perfect through him. Happy Easter

It was so nice that Sports Authority was closed on Sunday and Andy was home! We started the day with the kids finding their Easter baskets. Then we headed to 9AM church. I taught the Sunbeams while Andy carried Sophie around to make her happy. In sharing time the girl dressed like Mary Magdalene and told the story of her friend Jesus-the kids loved it. When we got home the kids had sandwiches shaped like bunnies and flowers.

Later in the afternoon the kids had their Easter egg hunt. They found all their eggs very quickly and loved the treats inside.

Then we had our Easter dinner of Ham, cheese potatoes, green bean casserole and yellow jello jigglers.

It was a wonderful day and I love being together with my little family all day long.

Thomas underwear in hopes of potty training soon-

Sophie got a tray for her Bumbo chair-

Finding Eggs-

Later that night Maddie brought in her new bunny all dressed "for school". I thought it was pretty funny-

Panting the sun catchers she got-
Dinner-

The kids got bathtub eggs in their basket that change the bath colors and a dinosaur is in the middle. Garen got green and Maddie had a purple bath-
