Memorial Day

While Maddie and I were at our girls weekend, Andy and Garen went to Bear Lake to visit his grandparents. Also there are several family graves there to visit. (We don't have any in Burley, so we didn't visit any).

Last Ballet Class

Maddie's last ballet class was today. The girls got to dress up like princesses and have a party. Maddie had a blast! She has such a great teacher and as you can tell by the video the teacher is due to have a baby in about a week. Bless her heart, she just keeps on jumping and dancing with those little girls. We'll see if she makes it to the recital on Friday.

Learning the Articles of Faith

Maddie has mastered the first and second articles of faith and we are working on number three. It amazes me how quickly she memorizes things!

Girl's Weekend!!!

What a wonderful Sister's weekend I've had. On Friday, me and Maddie left Andy and Garen behind and went to Burley. My dear friend, Brenda got to join in as my third sister this weekend and come see the exciting Burley, Idaho.

Right when we got there we headed to Natalie's reception, which was beautiful! I got to see Chanc and Alisha and their handsome little boys!

The three little girl cousins had so much fun together. They got to paint, make necklaces, have a tea party, go on bike rides and just have non stop fun! And the best part was that they mainly entertained themselves so that left me and my sisters open to play games, watch movies, and hang out together! Even though I feel like I need a day to rest after my vacation-it was so much fun. Thanks for coming with Brenda, you are now officially part of the family!

Making it smell nice

Maddie and all the neighbor kids spent several hours yesterday in the pool. After awhile I took Garen in for a bath and PJ's. When I came back out I found the pool full of sand and lilac flowers. They said they were making their own beach and they needed to make it smell nice. Maddie informed me that "lilacs are the perfect ingredient for a pool." But mom said "it wasn't very fun to clean it up."

Water play

Today was a nice sunny hot day. Hot enough to get the pool out.

We were going to get it out first thing, but I found out our Realtor was showing the house today. So I quickly cleaned up (as much as possible with 3 kids in the house, Avery was here today). Then we took off to the park while they looked at the house. When we got back we had just enough time to blow up the pool and get cooled off.

Busy Wonderful Weekend

Preschool Graduation
Yep, my little girl graduated from preschool on Friday! I can't believe she will be starting Kindergarten this Fall!!! At the ceremony they sang their favorite songs, did the ABC's in sign language and excepted their diplomas-which showed that they will be the class of 2021 (crazy huh?!). We are so proud of you, Maddie!!!

Gymnastics
Maddie has been in gymnastics since she was 2 years old. And this last week she passed off enough stuff that she will now be in the competitive level 1 group. That means she learns real routines and gets to go to competitions. With us moving soon, she may not get to do it very long. But I will sign her up for gymnastics in Rock Springs.

House for Sale
Also on Friday we got all the papers signed and got our house listed as For Sale. It's really happening, I have to leave my cozy, Mormon infested, safe neighborhood in Cache Valley.

Natalie's Wedding

Saturday morning, Andy's parents were nice enough to take Maddie to her last soccer game and to have both kids all day while Andy and I went to Salt Lake for the wedding. Nat's wedding was so beautiful! She looked beautiful, the ceremony was beautiful, and it was just so fun to see her incredibly happy and glowing! We went to the luncheon afterwards at the Old Spaghetti factory and enjoyed talking with Carrol and Chanc, and their husbands!

of course, me and Carrol had to get our picture taken too-

Jann's Birthday

Andy and I got back in Logan just in time to meet his family at Frederico's to celebrate Jann's birthday.

Garen loving the frosting-

And that concludes most of what happened on Friday and Saturday!

Soccer Maddie

Maddie had a soccer game tonight, it rained a bit but the kids didn't seem to mind.

Maddie was an awesome little goalie. And as you can tell by the video, she likes to spin and flip and play around when the ball isn't right in front of her. She loves to play but I do have to remind her she is in the middle of a soccer game sometimes!

I love coaching this little team! Saturday is their last game which I will miss to go to Natalie's wedding. Since I won't be their, I gave the team their soccer pillowcases and little soccer ball treats. Thanks again mom for helping me make all of them!

(the boys pillowcases were red)

Rock Springs, Wyoming

So it looks like it's settled, we are moving to Rock Springs, Wyoming!

Andy and I took a trip there yesterday to check things out. I must say it is not the most glamorous town I've ever seen. :(

But, Andy has a good opportunity to run the Sports Authority store there and get the experience and the raise in pay that he's been looking for. We are planning on this being a temporary move, maybe a year or two. Rock Springs is not a place we really want to stick around and raise a family. But there are some nice areas and I hope we can find a good house in a nice little neighborhood. There are only 2 LDS church buildings in the whole area and just one stake. This will be a huge change for us since we are used to seeing church buildings on every block and where there are so many church members that the my little neighborhood makes up the whole ward. I know this will be a learning experience for all of us and can only bring us closer together and closer to the church.

They want Andy as soon as we can get there, so we will be putting our house up for sell this week as well as trying to find a place to move into. Andy and I are both nervous about this new change, but we both feel like we need to do it. Onto the Cowboy State. (don't worry I'm not going to start wearing wranglers).

Smithfield Health Days Parade!

At about 9:45 this morning I saw a float drive by and remembered there was a parade at 10. I thought the kids would like it so we grabbed our stuff real quick and left. Luckily I found the last parking spot in a church parking lot and after just a 1/2 block we found a little spot we could sit. Maddie loved every minute of it. She filled an entire grocery bag with candy! Garen had fun too, but didn't like the loud firetrucks, police cars, and ambulances. It was a beautiful morning for a parade-

There was guy in this blowup suite, it was so funny. Maddie was laughing really hard and Garen was terrified of it.-

Test Launch

This afternoon we took the kids out to Thiokol, where Andy's dad works, to see them test one of their shuttle boosters. It was pretty cold out, but it was really amazing to watch. Maddie thought it was neat, but Garen didn't like the loud noise and the fact that it was shaking the ground.
Grandma entertaining the kids while we wait-

The kids after it was done-

This is the size of booster they were testing, I didn't realize it was so big!-

It's not as cool on the video as it is in person. (It doesn't blast off till about 43 sec.)
