Burley Weekend

The kids and I had an enjoyable time in Burley this weekend. We went on Saturday so I could go to my friend Natalie's bridal shower. It was so fun to spend time with her and meet her soon to be husband! Also I got to see Alisha and her super cute pregnant belly. (I forgot my camera at this event)
On Sunday I got to spend some time with my old friend and neighbor Jenny and her way cute twins! And to top off all this fun we got to spend some time with my sweet grandparents. Maddie loves it when my grandma Dora reads to her and she had some new book this trip. So they sat and read everyone. Then my wonderful grandma played catch with Maddie. You would never know she was almost 90!

Also while we were there, my mom helped me (okay I helped my mom)make 10 soccer print pillow cases I will be giving to my soccer team. And my dad spent hours outside watching Maddie jump on the tramp and pushing her in the swing! Thanks for a wonderful weekend Mom and Dad!!!

Maddie's Field Trip to the farm

Make a postcard - it's easy!

Yesterday Maddie's preschool took a field trip to American Western Heritage Center. It's an old fashioned farm. The kids got to hold and touch many of the baby animals and learn a lot about them. Garen tagged along of course, and he enjoyed chasing the chickens! It was a bit rainy and cold during the field trip, but it really warmed up later.

I had a bunch of kids playing in my backyard. They were having a great time doing tricks down the slide. Garen learned how to go down head first and we had a few kids fall of the top! Does anyone want to send their kids over to play at my place? :) Don't worry no one got hurt to badly.-

Haircut by Maddie...

So yesterday, I was upstairs trying to get ready and I heard the kids laughing downstairs. When I went down a few minutes later, I realized what they thought was so funny. Garen was sitting on my lap and I was running my fingers through his hair and all these huge clumps of hair were coming out. I didn't know what the heck was going on at first, then I spotted the scissors on the floor and I look at Maddie and she knew she was in trouble! All of Garen's long locks were gone!
So Andy had to buzz his hair to even everything up! I hope it grows back soon! I like his shaggy hair.

Soccer Game

I was so proud of my little soccer team today-they have really improved since our first game! We won 8-5. And Maddie played hard and had fun this game! It was super windy, but at least if wasn't freezing cold like the last game! I love coaching these little ones, they are so much fun!

Happy 50th!!!

Today is Andy's dad's 50th birthday!!! He is such a great person, dad, and grandfather, I hope we have him around for another 50!

Also today, my sister came for a visit with her two kids (same ages as my kids). Maddie loved her time with her cousin and I enjoyed my time with my sister! Thanks for coming Sara!

Birthdays, Birthdays and more birthdays

On Friday it was my Grandma Vonnie's 80th birthday. Sadly I didn't get to see her because she lives in Minnesota, but I heard she had a wonderful party!
This is Grandma Vonnie singing to Maddie last time we went for a visit-
On that same day it was my sister-in-law, Amber's birthday. I will be following in her footsteps of hitting the big 25 here soon. And last by not least, again on the same day it was Andy's grandma Margaret's birthday.

We went out to Clarkston and had a yummy dinner and cake and Ice cream to celebrate! Grandma and Amber, the birthday girls-

Andy and his Grandpa-

Jann and the 3 grandkids- (I love the look on baby Levi's face-he's just waiting for Maddie to pop up and make him laugh)-

Garen loves hiding behind these door and saying peek-a-boo!

And today was a perfect day for outside play, Popsicles, and shorts!-

Race Against Child Abuse

This morning me and my friend Brenda ran a 5K (actually this one was 3.3 miles) race. It was in support of the Family Support Center and child abuse awareness. It felt great when I was done, but some of those Wellsville hills were killers! Thanks for stick'en with me Brenda!

Andy brought the kids out to watch us finish the race and they got to play at the park for awhile.

Having Fun at the Fun Park!

Since it is Maddie's Spring Break from Preschool and ballet this week, we've tried to come up with some fun things to do. Today we met some friends at the fun park.
Garen, for some reason is terrified of the play tubes and tube slides (like the ones at McDonalds) so he didn't like it very much-and is was his nap time. But Maddie had a great time with Jacob!

Treehouse Museum

This morning I met my sister, sara, my niece Abby, and my friend Kelsie and baby Jordyn at the Tree house museum in Ogden. The kids had a great time exploring and playing. And the moms had a good time too! It was so good to see you Sara and Kelsie!

First Soccer Game

Sara's number 12 lives on through Maddie-

This morning was our first Soccer game. It was early and it was cold, but the kids did great. Maddie got a bit overwhelmed by getting knocked over, being cold and being the smallest so she only played for about 6 minutes of the whole game. She'll get used to it eventually.
Stretching out-

We didn't win, but at this age they don't really acknowledge the score. I do have some pretty quick and talented kids on my team and it was so fun watching them play!

At The Park

Today was finally a nice day outside! And even better Andy was home. So we took the kids to the park this morning. Maddie loves this park because of the fun hiking trail. We even saw three deer on our hike! They were to quick for me to get a picture of them.

After an hour or so at the park we took the kids to McDonalds for lunch (a rare occasion). It was such a nice day together.
Later this evening, my little soccer team (including Maddie) had practice. It was so much fun and the kids are so entertaining! Maddie did really well even though she is the smallest one on the team. I didn't get any pictures of her because I was to busy trying to coach 10 five year olds.

After soccer practice I got to go play church Futsol (indoor soccer). It was such a blast! But I am definitely ready to go to bed now! I hope everyone else is enjoying some nice weather!

Just an Update...

First of all-
Happy 5th Birthday Miriam!!!

Yesterday I got a chance to sub a 5th grade class and decided to take it since Andy was home. So I have to give a shout out to Andy because while I was subbing he took both kids, by himself, to the dentist (something I don't think even I would do). Neither of my kids particularly like the dentist. Ever since the spit sucker got stuck to the back of Maddie's mouth once, she's been terrified of the place. And well Garen just doesn't like strangers, let alone a stranger close to his face looking in his mouth. So I have to give my dear husband credit for doing such a great job dealing with both kids at the dentist!
And I thoroughly enjoyed my day of subbing. The class was so much fun and it being April Fools day, I got plenty of tricks played on me, including being zapped by a gag pen!

After subbing Andy's parents babysat the kids and me and Andy went out. First we picked up my new bike-more bonus points to my husband for buying me a new bike!

Then we headed to the temple. It was so nice to have that quiet, spiritual, uplifting time!
And before heading home we had a nice dinner together at the Olive Garden.

Also this week we got some new neighbors! Maddie loves that she has 3 new girls to play with next door. They are a cute little family, but I cannot pronounce any of their names!
