4th of July

We enjoyed a lovely day at church. Later a huge barbecue with lots of great friends. Andy even got to come join us when he got off work. A bit later we enjoyed tons of fireworks and sparklers with more friends. It was a pretty good Independence day!

Garen didn't care to get to close-

Sophie was tired and afraid of all the loud noises-

First Grade Valentine's Party

After volunteering in the morning for an hour, I went back to Maddie's class in the afternoon to help with her class Valentine Party. They had ice cream sundaes and pop and a huge bag of Valentines-in other words-Sugar overload. It's always fun to see Maddie interact with her friends. Her teacher informed me that Maddie and Israel plan to be married and have been holding hands-this is causing a problem because now the boys fight over holding Maddie's hand. I think Andy and I have a problem on our hands!

Fourth of July Fun

We had a very enjoyable 4th of July! The kids and I went to a BBQ at the Sorenson's house. The kids had a blast playing with all their family that was there and on the giant playground in their back yard. Andy had to work so he didn't get to join us.
After the BBQ Garen zonked out on the couch for a bit and Maddie spent the afternoon playing with our neighbor, Brady.
Andy got home about 7:30 and we headed out to the golf course for the fireworks.
The kids ran around with all the other kids from the ward, played on the playground, and did sparklers.
Just before the fireworks were going to start Maddie was running around with her friends in the dark and ran into a metal gate. She came crying to us holding her head. She had a nice size goose egg and a gash in the middle. Andy went to the van to get a closer look in the light and concluded it wasn't to deep so we didn't need to make a trip to the ER.
We watched the firework show and the kids liked putting their 3D glasses on during it. We got home about 11:30. Everyone was very tired; lets just say 9AM church came a little to soon.

Garen's favorite part was dancing to the music. His little nap gave him the energy to dance the night away.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's day thanks to my great husband and kids. It started out a little bit rough with Sophie throwing up all night long. Andy took Sophie at about 6AM and I went back to bed. When I came down stairs Andy had french toast with strawberries and whip cream waiting for me.

Maddie came in my room first thing and gave me lost of hugs and kisses and "happy mother's day." She aslo made me some great pictures and a key chain from school.

Andy and Maddie went to Sacrament meeting then I went to the last two hours and brought Maddie and Garen. We got wonderful Cd's at church and Garen made me candy flowers in nursery (one of them had a bite taken out of it :)) and Maddie gave me a bag of goodies with a cute poem from primary.

When the kids and I got home Andy had lunch sitting on the table and some presents on my chair! He got me some new running shoes which I love!

In the afternoon we watched movies and I even got a nap!We put the kids to bed at 8 and we ate some yummy ham with cheese potatoes that Andy made.

It was a fabulous Mother's Day! I wish there was a Mother's Day every month!

Easter

I love this message about the true meaning of Easter. I can't even comprehend what Christ went through, but I am truly grateful for his sacrifice; so that one day, despite all my mistakes I can become perfect through him. Happy Easter

It was so nice that Sports Authority was closed on Sunday and Andy was home! We started the day with the kids finding their Easter baskets. Then we headed to 9AM church. I taught the Sunbeams while Andy carried Sophie around to make her happy. In sharing time the girl dressed like Mary Magdalene and told the story of her friend Jesus-the kids loved it. When we got home the kids had sandwiches shaped like bunnies and flowers.

Later in the afternoon the kids had their Easter egg hunt. They found all their eggs very quickly and loved the treats inside.

Then we had our Easter dinner of Ham, cheese potatoes, green bean casserole and yellow jello jigglers.

It was a wonderful day and I love being together with my little family all day long.

Thomas underwear in hopes of potty training soon-

Sophie got a tray for her Bumbo chair-

Finding Eggs-

Later that night Maddie brought in her new bunny all dressed "for school". I thought it was pretty funny-

Panting the sun catchers she got-
Dinner-

The kids got bathtub eggs in their basket that change the bath colors and a dinosaur is in the middle. Garen got green and Maddie had a purple bath-

Easter Eggs and funny faces

We got some Easter Eggs colored. I didn't get any pictures of Garen because I needed both hands to prevent him from spilling the dye everywhere. When we were done Garen was holding two of his eggs and decided to bang them together, so of course they cracked.
Maddie liked drawing pictures on the eggs and writing things like I love my mom and dad.

While I had the camera out, the kids wanted to pull funny faces and then look at them selves. We had some good laughs.-

And the kids had a great time getting super dirty out in the mud today-
