Moving Weekend...

On Friday, my parents and sister Sara came to help. While they watched the kids me and Andy signed the papers for selling our condo and also for our home in Rock Springs. Sara helped me finish packing my whole kitchen and cleaning out the cupboards. It was so nice to have them here, we are sad that we are moving even further away from them.

On Saturday, we took a little break from packing and headed to Bear Lake for a family reunion. On our way home we picked up the Uhaul and spent the rest of the evening loading it. Thanks so much to Brenda and Jon and Boyd and Jann for their help!

Giving some goodbye hugs-

So first thing tomorrow we'll clean out the rest of the house and we are off to Rock Springs! Wish us luck and you will hear from us when we get our Internet hookup over their.

Thanks Kelsie

My good friend and old neighbor showed up this morning to help me out. It was so nice to have some company while packing. I was getting really sick of packing and cleaning by myself all day. Thanks for helping me pack and watching my kids while I got some stuff done-you are the best Kelsie!!!

Here's Kelsie's girl Jordyn and Garen hanging out while we packed-

Crazy/Birthday week

I know it's only Wednesday, but it has been a crazy week already!

Monday my sister Sara came with her kids and we all went to the pool. It was so fun to have them here. That evening me and Andy had to go meet our lender again to smooth out a few glitches in funding our Rock Springs home.

Then Monday night I met Brenda at Olive Garden for some appetizers, salad, and some girl time.

Tuesday was my birthday and my morning was spent making phone call to set up and cancel things like, gas, electricity, Internet, cell phones, car insurance, and on and on! I think I was on the phone for like 5 hours! I only to breaks from calling to feed the kids or to throw up. That's right, my usual night time pregnancy sickness has switched to morning and it has come with a vengeance! Happy Birthday to me :(

But it got better; at about 4:30 Andy and I left to rent some movies and go check into the Anniversary Inn. We sat in these nice reclining chairs and watched movies on the big screen. We got to hit some golf balls, play Foosball, and relax in the huge jetted tub (all included inside our room). It was so nice, I even forgot to stress about packing for a little while. We slept in, had breakfast brought to us, watched another movie and just had a great time. Then at noon today, back to reality.

We went and picked up the kids, Andy went to work, the plumber came, I made more phone calls, and am now packing more boxes. I know it will all work out just fine, but it is stressing me out a bit.

And on a side note, we will not be moving on Friday like we had planned, instead it will be Monday. This kinda stinks for me because if we moved on Friday I would have Andy's help all weekend to unpack and settle in, but Andy will be starting his new job on Tuesday so that leaves me at home with two kids and about 500 boxes to unpack. Oh well, you take what you can get.

Mov'en on Up

Well, things have really been working out well for us. We went to Rock Springs last week to look at more homes and we found one that had everything we wanted. Enough room, an unfinished basement we can add too, a fenced in back yard, brand new, last house on a dead end, and the elementary school is right behind our house.
We knew it was the right house for us so we put and offer on it. We knew that if we didn't get in offer on our house in Smithfield within the week we would not be able to meet the deadlines on the new house. But sure enough the day after we get home we got an offer. So we are now under contract on our current home and closing on June 17th. And we are under contract on the new home in Rock Springs and are hoping to close on that house about the same time!
I can't believe how quickly it is all happening! But it looks like we will be in Wyoming in about 2 weeks! Hopefully I can pack the house by then. It has only been just under a year since we moved last-why do we do this to ourselves :(.

Here's the new place (yes they are twin homes, the one downside but you take what you can get)-

Busy Wonderful Weekend

Preschool Graduation
Yep, my little girl graduated from preschool on Friday! I can't believe she will be starting Kindergarten this Fall!!! At the ceremony they sang their favorite songs, did the ABC's in sign language and excepted their diplomas-which showed that they will be the class of 2021 (crazy huh?!). We are so proud of you, Maddie!!!

Gymnastics
Maddie has been in gymnastics since she was 2 years old. And this last week she passed off enough stuff that she will now be in the competitive level 1 group. That means she learns real routines and gets to go to competitions. With us moving soon, she may not get to do it very long. But I will sign her up for gymnastics in Rock Springs.

House for Sale
Also on Friday we got all the papers signed and got our house listed as For Sale. It's really happening, I have to leave my cozy, Mormon infested, safe neighborhood in Cache Valley.

Natalie's Wedding

Saturday morning, Andy's parents were nice enough to take Maddie to her last soccer game and to have both kids all day while Andy and I went to Salt Lake for the wedding. Nat's wedding was so beautiful! She looked beautiful, the ceremony was beautiful, and it was just so fun to see her incredibly happy and glowing! We went to the luncheon afterwards at the Old Spaghetti factory and enjoyed talking with Carrol and Chanc, and their husbands!

of course, me and Carrol had to get our picture taken too-

Jann's Birthday

Andy and I got back in Logan just in time to meet his family at Frederico's to celebrate Jann's birthday.

Garen loving the frosting-

And that concludes most of what happened on Friday and Saturday!

Rock Springs, Wyoming

So it looks like it's settled, we are moving to Rock Springs, Wyoming!

Andy and I took a trip there yesterday to check things out. I must say it is not the most glamorous town I've ever seen. :(

But, Andy has a good opportunity to run the Sports Authority store there and get the experience and the raise in pay that he's been looking for. We are planning on this being a temporary move, maybe a year or two. Rock Springs is not a place we really want to stick around and raise a family. But there are some nice areas and I hope we can find a good house in a nice little neighborhood. There are only 2 LDS church buildings in the whole area and just one stake. This will be a huge change for us since we are used to seeing church buildings on every block and where there are so many church members that the my little neighborhood makes up the whole ward. I know this will be a learning experience for all of us and can only bring us closer together and closer to the church.

They want Andy as soon as we can get there, so we will be putting our house up for sell this week as well as trying to find a place to move into. Andy and I are both nervous about this new change, but we both feel like we need to do it. Onto the Cowboy State. (don't worry I'm not going to start wearing wranglers).
