Maddie and Dad fishing trip

Since Andy got to spend some one on one time with Garen last weekend, Maddie felt left out and wanted her own camping trip. So this weekend Maddie and Andy headed out ready to camp, fish and build fires. They didn't catch as many fish as last weekend but Maddie filled her time exploring and catching frogs.

They had a couple unexpected adventures like a mystery animal messing with their tent in the middle of the night and Maddie leaving the lights on inside the van causing a dead battery. With no cell phone service they were lucky it was a busy weekend and their were people around to give them a jump. They only had the cell phone camera this time so the pictures aren't very good.

Overall Maddie enjoyed her time with her dad, she couldn't wait to tell me all about it when they got home.

Boys trip

Andy took Garen Friday and Saturday on a little camping and fishing trip. They made tin foil dinners, smores, slept in the tent, and caught lots of fish! Garen was a pretty good photographer even though there was about 50 pictures of grass and his fingers.

Yesterday was such a nice day, so when I finished preschool and Maddie got home from school we headed out. We went to Jim Bridger pond, which happens to be right next to where Andy works, so we got to see the plant out there.

Monday-Fishing and stuff

Monday morning we took the kids out fishing bright and early. They each caught a few fish, climbed some trees, and we had a picnic. It was a lovely morning!

We made it home from fishing just in time to hit the Summer Movie. We enjoyed popcorn and candy while watching Planet 51. After the movie Andy got called into work for a bit but made it back in time for Maddie's t-ball game! Maddie played great again. For dinner we enjoyed a free Papa Murphy's pizza and got to share it with my mom and dad who came through for the night on their way to Nauvoo.

Also last night we were excited to bring this little beauty into our home-

Maddie will be starting piano lessons in the Fall and we bought it from a friend moving for $50. It needs a little work but Maddie is already in love with it!
What a great Monday we had to start out our week!
