Somehow I convinced my kids and the neighbor kids to wash my van. I figured since all their names were written in the dust on the back they could wash it off.

Now its just too bad that the mud playing couldn't have come before the very wet car wash-

Needless to say our evening had to wrap up with some bubble baths. Sophie made a bubble crown-

The Flu

Can I just say I think it's a little unfair how often I get the throw up flu! Saturday night Andy got sick, I didn't really believe it was the flu because Andy never gets the flu even when our whole house is infested with the virus. But when Sophie got sick on Tuesday, I knew my turn wasn't far behind. Poor Sophie threw up 6 or 7 times and was so miserable. Then about midnight, it finally hit me. Andy was at work and Sophie decided around 1AM that she was to uncomfortable to sleep. I would throw up then go lay with her and rub her legs and try to hold my breath when I would change her diaper. It was the longest night of my life. It's one thing to take care of yourself when you are weak and achy and stuck near a toilet, but trying to comfort another while you feel that way is a difficult task. I was so grateful to see Andy walk in the door about 4:30AM and take over Sophie for me! Now I'm hoping this nasty bug misses Garen and Maddie.

Swimming Lessons

Maddie's been doing swimming lessons every morning and is loving it! I put her in level three but was unsure if they would bump her back down, but on day one they told them to jump in and swim across the pool and Maddie was to afraid to tell them she couldn't and just jumped in and started swimming. Luckily she made it-I didn't know she could swim that far with out a break but she did.

At the Library

The kids finished their reading minutes for the Summer reading program. They got to collect their little prizes and put in tickets to try and win the big prizes. Then as usual Maddie read books that interest her and Garen and Sophie played in the kid corner. We love the library!

Bear Lake

This last weekend I took the Girl Scouts to Bear Lake for our last big get together since I won't being doing Girl Scouts anymore. We rented a lake house and we had so much fun!!! We did tons of swimming and playing in the water, campfires, crafts, playing on the playground, we went to the Minnetonka cave, had a picnic, got rasberry (0r other kinds) of shakes, went out dancing, and got zero sleep! The girls didn't even fall asleep till 1AM but us leaders partied even later. We had some good laughs! Andy and the kids got to come play for a bit on Friday-the rest of the time they were staying at Andy's grandparents house also in Bear Lake. Maddie had such a good time with her Girl Scout friends and I think will have many good memories of this trip.-I know I do!

we ate at Blue Pond (the bugs tried to eat us)-

in the cave, Maddie really didn't like it when they turned the lights out-
