A very full Sunday
The day started at 6:30 AM. We had to be ready and out the door by 8 so we could make it to the Farson Branch sacrament meeting by 9. Andy works with the branch president out there and somehow we got roped into speaking out there. My friend was nice enough to take our kids for us during this time.
I usually try to avoid speaking in my own ward let alone another ward, but I survived and it was a good experience. I had never been to a small branch before and the members were more than welcoming.
We made it back in time to get the kids dressed and some lunch before heading to our church at 1. The kids had their sacrament primary program. They both did great with their speaking parts and sang all the songs. Sophie was not happy that she couldn't go join them!
After a lovely Sunday school lesson, I got to teach the Laurels class a very in depth lesson on dating.

Stake Conference

Last night Andy and I got a babysitter and were able to go the the adult session of stake conference. We got to hear Richard G. Scott of the quorum of the 12 apostles talk as well as Elder Price of the quorum of the Seventy. It was very uplifting and I'm so glad we went! At the end he took questions from the congregation and his answers were so inspiring and honest and quite funny. It made me want to become more like him and our other leaders and ultimately Christ.
Today we got to take the kids to hear the apostle speak. It was incredibly crowded and over two hours long so it was a little bit of a struggle with the kids but very much worth it.
Soccer in the Rain
Saturday Garen had a soccer game at 9am and with the 45 degree weather and the rain I assumed it would be canceled-it wasn't. Garen played like a champ while the rest of us huddled under umbrellas. He cracked us up the whole time as we watched him dance in his own world on the side lines, and do silly things during the game. He loves soccer but has no desire right now to be competitive.

getting a pep talk from his coach-
After Garen's game and his team pictures we got a short break form the field and then head back again for Maddie's game. I didn't take pictures at her game, but she did amazing! There were times when the other team was about to score a goal and Maddie would fly out of no where and kick it from them before they had a chance to shoot-I am thoroughly impressed with her speed and passion for soccer this year!

Soccer Games
Soccer has pretty much taken over my life for a bit. Maddie practices every Wed/Friday night and Gare practices every Tues/Thurs night and they both have games every Saturday-so 5 days a week I am devoted to Soccer.
Maddie and Garen had their first soccer games today. Maddie played so hard and did really well. She even scored a goal!
I love this picture, it tells the whole story. Maddie is on the far right with her arms up in the air after she sees the ball go in the goal.
