Grandpa Roger

Andy's Grandpa Roger passed away last night at the young age of 77. Although I did not grow up with him being my grandfather I will forever be grateful for the life lessons he has taught Andy as a child and young adult. He taught him how to work with his hands and how to work hard, taught him to hunt, taught him how to give and gain respect, and he encouraged him to go on a mission.
My kids loved visiting them in Bear Lake. Grandpa Roger would get out the four-wheelers and stand to the side and smile while he watched us take our kids for rides. He would drive us around in his truck and tell us stories of his younger years and the deep history that came with every different destination. He would hook up the horse swing everytime and push my kids on it.
What a wonderful man he was and what an amazing life he led. We are sad his time was cut short but know he is continuing his great work on the other side.
