Fun Family Day

We have an advent calendar that I fill with daily activities for the month of December.  Well this week was so busy we didn't have time to do the activities Tuesday-Friday so today we played catch up.  We wrote letters to Santa, we made reindeer out of our feet and hands, we all went ice skating, the kids each picked out a new ornament for the tree, we went to the library and checked out a bunch of Christmas movies and we watched Narnia The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe while drinking hot cocoa (with snowman marshmallows and cool whip) and ate candy canes.
Maddie playing with the electric train that came from Grandpa Roger.
Giant snow storm today, but a little too windy and cold to go out and play in it-
ice skating was so much fun.  Garen hasn't skated since last year since he doesn't take lessons with the girls so he spent a lot of time on his backside on the ice but he laughed the whole time!

Maddie was a little shy about showing us all her tricks but it was fun for her to show us up close and explain the names and how tos about each one.

Every year the kids get to pick out new ornaments.  Sophie picked a green sparkly heart, Garen picked a Grinch one, and Maddie picked a dragonfly.
