Family Cabin Camping

We had a fantastic 3 days together as a family up in the middle of nowhere.  No cell service, no power, just us as a family.  Here are the highlights of the trip:
-Loved the cute little cabin we stayed in, the kids loved the bunk beds and the little fridge and stove made 3 days of meals so much easier
-Playing endless board games and card games
-yummy tin foil dinners
-lots of roasted marshmallows
-Playing the say one word, build a story game while sitting under the stars
-Our beautiful 2 mile hike up to a little hidden gem lake
-Our hike to crystal lake over little bridges and a lake so clear and waterfalls shooting out of the middle of the mountain.  That was my favorite place.
-Sitting on the little porch in the morning reading a book
-spotting all kids of animals, most of them just walking around our cabin.  We saw a coyote, a fox, a moose, lots of deer, a snake, lots of ground squirrels and fun birds and luckily no bears.
-Naming the plants that we saw everywhere "poop sticks" because that is what they looked like
-Sophie playing on the river bank throws a stick in the water and says "oh no why did you jump in" then throwing another stick after it says "go save your brother"
-hours of Everett perfectly happy throwing rocks in the water
-Maddie and Sophie driving the truck
-Being surrounded by some of Heavenly Father's most beautiful creations.
