We took the kids to the Minnetonka cave one day. I was impressed that Maddie and Garen both made it through all 888 stairs without ever being carried. Sophie was in the backpack the whole way in, but then decided to just cry, so I carried her the whole way out.-I got my workout for the day!
Maddie really liked seeing all the fun formations like Kermit's castle and the 7 dwarfs. The kids were a bit scared when they shut off the lights to experience total darkness (which can only occur in a cave or at the bottom of the ocean). The cave was a chilly 40 degrees but we came prepared with warm stuff that we had to shed quickly when we got out because it was so hot.
