December 6th says Sing Christmas Songs

Today was busy. Not enough sleep, up early, kids off to school with show and tells, snacks, packed lunches, PE shoes, library books, homework, gloves, etc. 5+ hours of teaching preschool with no time for lunch or even a bathroom break. Preschool out at 2:45, visiting teaching appointments start at 2:45, when I get home it's homework, reading, piano practice, and dinner. I was suppose to be at a meeting at 7pm but as the kids were finishing dinner at 6:30 and they asked when are we going to do today's activity from the advent calendar, I ditched the mandatory meeting. Instead, all the kids had a nice hot bath, then we sang about 20 Christmas songs like today's activity said to do.

We pulled out the musical instruments, danced around, used puppets, laughed, sang loud, freeze danced, told each other what we like about Christmas and what we know about Christ's life. I'm so glad I skipped my meeting tonight and enjoyed the Christmas spirit and my children's laughter instead!

Garen wants to sing Santa Clause is coming to town-

Sophie loving Santa instead of passing him on-

Jingle bells with our own personal touch of music-

talented one-

hooray for staying home instead of going to mom's meeting-

Good for you. I'm sure your kids will remember doing that a lot longer than the people would remember you coming to the meeting.
