Happy Halloween!!!

Today was a fully packed Halloween day. Maddie had Halloween celebrations at both ballet and preschool. Then we carved pumpkins (we didn't get around to it until today). For dinner we made chili in a pumpkin and had Andy's parents and sister over for dinner and games. After dinner we all went to the assisted living home to see great great grandma pug. She was all dressed up as a witch. All the people there were very nice and loved seeing the kids. Garen was a little afraid, but figured out this whole trick-or-treating thing isn't so bad when you get all these yummy treats. When we got home we took a lap around all the condos and got more than enough candy. Maddie was sooo excited running from house to house and tripping on her dress a few times. Garen really got into it as well. He was right up there with the big kids picking his candy out of the bowl. Garen was laughing and knocking on doors until someone opened their door dressed as beetle juice (crazy hair, painted face)-Garen screamed and started to cry. He was a little more cautious the rest of the night. When we got home, Maddie took over handing out our candy, and we played games with Andy's family. It was a fun Halloween and I am pretty Halloweened out!

Your kids are so cute! I love how into thing they get. I laughed at Garen's reaction to the beetle juice guy.

Happy Halloween! :) Looks like so much fun! I have heard so much about dinner in a pumpkin...what did you make in it? How did it turn out???
Sorry, no (good) pics of me as a witch, my mom was taking the pics for me at the trunk or treat and they are all kind of blurry.

Wow! after reading how busy your day was I feel like taking a nap :)I love the pumpkins, I never would have thought that you could cook chili in it. How did it turn out? I also can't get over how much Maddy looks like you.

You sure know how to celebrate Halloween. Your kids are so lucky to have you take the time to make the holiday so memorable for them. I need to take some pointers from you in the future. I'm glad you had such a fun day- the costumes are great!

Isn't Halloween a great time to express ourselves! It looks like we can party on as long as we want looking at the great great grandma! Good for her. I'm sure the people at the assisted living place appreciated the kids coming by.
It is amazing how the little boys (Garen and Colton) have only been on earth for a year and a half and catch on to the Trick or Treat thing so fast. Garen's and Maddie's costumes were so cute and you did a good job on the princess dress!
I took the van to Trunk or Treat at the church and dad stayed home to hand out to the few that would come to the door. He didn't want to have our light off because the sex offenders had to have their lights out! Crazy world.
